Get Involved

Are you interested in getting involved with the APHA Student Assembly but aren't sure
where to start?

We are now accepting applications for Membership Ambassadors!

Do you want to become more involved with APHA-SA? Then apply to be a Membership Ambassador! These are volunteers who assist the Membership Co-Chairs in daily tasks to recruit and engage student members of APHA.

Ambassadors will contact new members of the organization, help answer their questions and direct them to different sections of APHA that might fit their interest.

If you want to apply, please fill out this application.

The Membership Committee reviews applications every quarter (April 1, August 1, November 1 and February 1). We will follow up to let you know whether your application has been accepted.

Accepting Applications for Campus Liaisons!

The Campus Liaison Committee is a great opportunity to get involved with APHA! Campus Liaisons (CLs) act as representatives of the Student Assembly on their campus, promote public health and encourage peers to get involved.

CLs are responsible for hosting 4 campus events throughout the entire year and requires roughly 2 hours per week. These events can be can be in-person or virtual. Online schools and programs can also have CLs. If you are already part of a public health organization or council on your campus, we encourage you to apply for this position as well!

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. You can apply through our application on APHA LEAD. Access the application here. If have questions or want to learn more about the CL position, please email campusliaison@aphastudents.org and include your name, contact email, and school.

Accepting Applications for Regional Student Liaisons!

Regional Student Liaisons (RSLs) act as intermediaries between Campus Liaisons and the CL Committee Co-Chairs. RSLs are responsible for overseeing the CL activities within their region, recruit new CLs, and maintain communication with the Co-Chairs.

This position requires roughly 5-10 hours per month and is entirely tele-based. We are currently recruiting RSLs for the following regions:

Central Northwest

Mountain Region

Southwest Region

South Atlantic Region

If you are interested in applying to be a RSL, please fill out this application. You can reach out to Ohenewaa White and Juliana Musonda for questions or more information at campusliaison@aphastudents.org. Please include your name, email, school, and region in the email.
