Maternal and Child Health

Established in 1921, the Maternal & Child Health Section develops innovative and creative approaches to addressing the health needs of mothers, children, adolescents and families.

Our Members

Our members come from diverse backgrounds and include a broad range of professionals, such as nurses, physicians, midwives, social workers, psychologists, researchers, nutritionists, child care workers, doulas and many others who are involved at every level of health care delivery and policy development.

Our Work

We work to achieve our mission through the following priorities:

  • Influence national policy development related to maternal and child health.
  • Develop leaders among MCH Section members and student fellows.
  • Keep the MCH Section membership informed about national legislation, budget issues and policy related to maternal and child health.
