Add this book to your registration for only $20 to gain a toolkit of concrete, practical, and insightful strategies for informing and influencing policymakers. Only available for in-person attendees.
Scholarships
APHA Student and Early Career Professional members are eligible to apply for a scholarship to the Policy Action Institute. If selected, you will have the option to attend in person or virtually, but you will be responsible for all travel-related costs. Scholarship recipients will be selected and notified by the end of May.

PAI Policies
Cancellation:
- Digital registrations are non-refundable. You will be charged the full amount and a refund will not be given for this event. You will receive access to the on-demand content after the event. You must pay the difference if you would like to transition your digital registration to an in-person registration. To switch to an in-person registration, email events@apha.org.
- In-person registrations can be canceled up until May 17 by emailing events@apha.org. A $100 cancellation fee will be deducted from each refund ($35 for students, early-career professionals and discounted members). There is no refund for switching to a digital registration, but please email events@apha.org so we can provide you with digital access.

It is the policy of APHA to hold meetings, conferences and professional gatherings where physical and communication barriers do not exclude people with disabilities from attending and participating. APHA is committed to the health and safety of all our meeting attendees, exhibitors, staff and contractors.
To ensure we are reducing the risk for respiratory illness at the Policy Action Institute, APHA strongly encourages in-person attendees:
- Stay up to date with COVID-19, influenza and other recommended adult vaccinations.
- Wear masks if you choose, and respect other people's masking choices.
- Practice appropriate hand hygiene.
- Don’t attend the in-person event if you have symptoms of a cold or any other respiratory infection and leave the event if you develop such symptoms.
All attendees will have access to the event content online if they are unable to attend in person due to illness or a positive COVID test.
There will be no verification of individual vaccine status; however, APHA reserves the right to implement additional health and safety standards should CDC change guidance or circumstances arise that warrant increased protection. Registered attendees will be notified as soon as possible should any change to our health and safety requirements be necessary.
