For nearly two years, health care professionals have been on the frontlines fighting the virus and fighting misinformation. The infodemic poses a dire threat to public health. We are two years into the COVID pandemic and information continues to rapidly change. The Partnership is thrilled to welcome Katelyn Jetelina, PhD, MPH, Assistant Professor at UTHealth and the founder of Your Local Epidemiologist newsletter for this very special professional education webinar. Jetelina is an epidemiologist and data scientist that has been responding to the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic for the past 24 months — both on the ground in the field and also communicating with evolving events with the pandemic.
Jetelina will highlight the concurrent pandemic of SARS-CoV-2 and infodemic and how it leads to leads to suboptimal control of the pandemic. She will also share practical tools for healthcare providers to fight misinformation and the implications for the future.
This session is designed for health care professionals, but all are welcome to attend and may benefit from the critical information shared.
