Nursing Collaborative on Climate Change and Health

The implications of climate change on health are increasingly more apparent. From hotter temperatures to more extreme weather events, a changing climate poses serious threats to the health of our patients and communities. Which is why APHA's PHN Section has joined on to an effort to address climate change as a health imperative. As a member of the Nursing Collaborative on Climate Change and Health, the PHN Section is committed to promoting health protective solutions to address this health issue. Learn more about what nurses can do to make a difference in practice settings, communities, and within the nursing profession.

Hannah Noel-Bouchard, RN, BSN and Jason Kirchick, RN, MPH(c) are the APHA, Public Health Nursing Section representatives to the NCCCH. As representatives our work sets out to focus on elevating climate change and health as a national priority by engaging individual nurses and nursing organizations in climate and health awareness, advocacy, education and practice change.
