Scholarships
The School Health & Wellness Section offers scholarships to help students attend APHA's Annual Meeting. The deadline for students to submit scholarships applications for 2023 is closed. We will open up for 2024 and provide more detail in the months to come. Please contact Thomas Dang with questions.
Awards
The School Health and Wellness Section's School Health Leader Award is given to a school health professional who shows evidence of significant leadership and contributions in the areas of school health services, program development, research and/or advocacy. Significant leadership activities and contributions are those that promote components of the Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child model or the Framework for 21st Century School Nursing Practice.
2023 winner: Rajika Reed, PhD, MPH, Med
The winner is recognized at the Section reception during the APHA Annual Meeting, listed in The Nation’s Health newspaper, and awarded a plaque.
