Dr. Cynthia Davis Award for Outstanding Community Leadership and Advocacy in HIV/AIDS
The Dr. Cynthia Davis Award for Outstanding Leadership and Advocacy in HIV/AIDS is awarded to a current member of the HIV/AIDS Section who has made outstanding contributions in community driven leadership and advocacy in the field of HIV/AIDS. This award commemorates the legacy of Dr. Cynthia Davis who with nearly four decades of tireless passion, has worked to address the socio-structural barriers of HIV/AIDS among underserved and disenfranchised people of color and communities on local, national and international levels.
Successful candidates will be honored at the APHA Annual Meeting. Current members of the HIV/AIDS Section who have contributed to community-driven leadership and advocacy in the field of HIV/AIDS are eligible to be nominated.
