Join APHA's Public Health Education and Health Promotion Section for the first webinar in its Innovation Lab Learning Series.
Active Training methods make training sessions fun, engaging, relevant, dynamic and most importantly, effective. This presentation will show how public health professionals can succeed as presenters and trainers utilizing the active training approach and adult learning principles.
This interactive one-hour workshop will discuss how adults learn and incorporate theoretical training principles into a training program. This presentation will introduce the training cycle through the application of the ADDIE (Assessing, Developing, Designing, Implementing, Evaluating) model.
Participants will also learn more about incorporating visuals, addressing problems, and incorporating games and active exercises into their training. Additionally, participants will gain insight into improving their training through evaluation, learn how to extend the value of training programs through transfer of learning, and develop fresh, engaging methods to improve their training programs.
