Description
"Adolescents and young adults face unprecedented social, economic, and cultural change. We must transform our health, education, family support, and legal systems to keep pace with these changes."
– a Lancet commission on adolescent health and wellbeing, 2016
Join the American Public Health Association, The Partnership for Maternal, Newborn & Child Health, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Adolescent Health, and The Lancet’s commission on adolescent health and wellbeing to hear the latest on the changing policy, economic and environmental issues shaping adolescent health as highlighted in The Lancet report, “Our future: a Lancet commission on adolescent health and wellbeing.” Globally, the health of adolescents continues to lag behind the dramatic gains we have seen in women’s and children’s health. The webinar will provide a closer look at policies and other multi-sectoral factors that affect adolescents worldwide. Youth-serving professionals will learn what they can do to support adolescent health and development.
