DESCRIPTION
APHA is partnering with the National Center for Healthy Housing to offer a Climate Communications Bootcamp.
This two-day virtual training aims to build skills around delivering key climate and health messaging, as well as communicating and engaging with policymakers, media and other key audiences. The second day of the training will culminate in a Capitol Hill visit for participants interested in putting their new skills into practice in meetings at the U.S. congressional offices in virtually.
REGISTRATION
Space is limited and the training is currently invite-only. The registration fee is $50.

SCHEDULE
Registered participants will receive a detailed agenda.
Day 1: February 21, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. ET
Speakers and panelists will:
- Share why reaching policymakers matters.
- Share why reaching the media/public matters.
- Cover how to fund your work.
- Facilitate breakout sessions for each topic throughout the day so participants can practice the new skills they have learned.
Day 2: February 22 (optional)
The second day of the training will culminate in a Capitol Hill visit for participants interested in putting their new skills into practice in meetings at the U.S. congressional offices virtually.
