Brought to you by the National Center for Disaster Medicine and Public Health, the objective of this symposium is to identify the important issues enabling and constraining an evidence-based approach to disaster preparedness and response, with a particular focus on health.

This symposium will be a dynamic event convening the leading disaster experts from the fields of science, academia, government, response and technology. Our Keynote Speaker on opening day will be W. Craig Fugate, the former FEMA Director who oversaw 87 disasters in 2011. Other speakers and moderators include: David Applegate, USGS and the National Science and Technology Council; Paul S. Auerbach, Stanford University; Edward Gabriel, ASPR; Nicolette A. Louissaint, Healthcare Ready; Jeff Schlegelmilch, Columbia University, and many more.
