Description
This webinar, hosted by the Partnership for Maternal & Child Health of Northern New Jersey, will cover strategies and tools that health care providers can use to support pregnant and postpartum women who are struggling with increase anxiety during COVD-19. Pooja Lakshmin, MD, will share interventions from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to manage ruminative thoughts, as well as information on how to guide patients through decision making with limited information using the risk/risk framework, help patients cope with grief, and work with patients to identify their coping skills. She will also provide a brief overview of the signs and symptoms of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders.
Learning Outcome: At the conclusion of the program, the participants will self-report knowledge gain related to helping pregnant and postpartum patients manage anxiety during COVID-19 and intent to change practice by including information or tools presented into professional practice.
